Description
Flexible rubber bellows protect moving machine parts from dust, dirt and the like. The bellows minimize the risk of downtime and extend the life of the machine. In addition, the bellows improve the working environment and safety by protecting machine operators and others from injury from contact with moving machine parts.
For many constructions, it can be advantageous to use a belt type that takes up minimal space when compressed. Rubber disc bellows are made of vulcanized rubber discs and take up very little space when folded compared to the pull-out length that can be achieved: the difference between maximum length (Lmax) and minimum length (Lmin) is large.
Rubber disk bellows are made of chlorosulfonyl polyethylene (CSM), which has a hardness of 65 Shore A. The color is black and the operating temperature is between -20°C and +110°C. The material is reasonably resistant to oil and chemicals and highly weather resistant.
