While you have been on summer vacation, we have upgraded the equipment at Betech. And we are excited to tell you that you can now cut harder, thicker, and heavier materials. With our latest machine, cutting is available for hard plastics such as acrylic and polycarbonate. Yes, in fact, the cutting head is so strong that the machine can also cut materials with metal inserts.
So what have you upgraded with, you might be thinking?
Our new American Colex flatbed cutter is equipped with a Heavy Duty cutting head and milling unit. It can both cut with a draw knife and an oscillating knife, which means that it can both cut beautiful, straight cuts and more detailed cuts with great precision. In combination with a relatively large bridge height, this enables the processing of plates up to 60 mm thick, depending on the material’s composition. Cutting in, for example, hard plastic is easier than ever before.
The Colex machine's combination of knife and cutter opens up entirely new design possibilities for your product.
This allows you to cut with very precise cuts and slanting details, which is an advantage when you need a more advanced design.
Furthermore, it is good for both the environment and the working environment at the factory: When we cut rather than cut holes, the material waste is automatically suctioned up as ’waste chips’ rather than the larger pieces that occur during cutting and need to be collected manually. This makes the working environment easier when we are cutting, and it is also easier to manage the waste of the chips.
On Monday in week 25, the machine arrived at the factory in Bramminge. On Tuesday, the machine was installed in the production hall. On Wednesday, the machine operators had their first training in using the muscular cutting machine.
After that, the operators practiced further, and the planning department prepared to get the machine into the daily production flow.
Overall, this means that you can already benefit from our new equipment – so don’t hesitate to contact us, no matter how demanding your project is.
