Tour, bike tires and Team Rynkeby
It's not only in Southern Europe that bicycle tires are being put to work. Team Rynkeby has ridden from Denmark to Paris in the service of a good cause, and at Betech we appreciate their work to raise funds for children with critical illnesses.

When the greatest actors of all time advertised... bicycle tires!
Betech is 102 years old as a company, but our roots go back almost as far as the Tour de France, which was first run in 1903. Back in 1908, engineer Albert Theilgaard established a rubber company that would soon specialize in rubber boots and - yes, you guessed it - bicycle tires!
Bicycle tires became very popular and a lot of money was spent on marketing them. Just look at this commercial, believed to be from the 1940s. Here, the greatest Danish actors of the time - Osvald Helmuth, Preben Neergaard and Ib Schønberg among others - throw themselves into a singing tribute to bicycle tires.
Although bicycle tires may never have made it to the Tour de France, we at Betech are proud to have a tiny part in the history of bicycle tires.
The current bike tires used in the tour are made by Continental, but we bet their commercials aren't quite as festive and popular as the film from the old Codan Gummivarefabrik, which went through several transformations to become part of the Addtech group and then Betech in 2008.
