Ulefos and Betech renew cooperation agreement
Twice since the summer holidays, Jarl Inge and Stig Kvalnes have met to finalize and sign a new trade and business development agreement between Ulefos Jernstøberi and Betech.
At the first meeting - at the end of August - Supply Chain Manager Jarl Inge visited Betech's factory near Esbjerg. Here, Jarl Inge was able to inspect both production and storage facilities at Betech. It was also on this occasion that the parties updated the trade agreement, which since 2017 has included the manufacture and delivery of two hundred item numbers within seals and rubber parts for Ulefos' production of well casings and cast iron covers. Products that are a familiar sight to most people everywhere in streets and roads, but are also hidden in many water and sewer systems.
At the second meeting in early October, Jarl and Stig met to finalize an agreement to stock Ulefos' goods at Betech. The warehousing agreement is a tool to continuously monitor and adjust the supply chain. With it, Ulefos is assured of timely delivery of the rubber components in the required quantities to production in the city southwest of Oslo, after which the iron foundry is named.

The old agreement did not adequately address what is required of the supply chain today. With the new agreement, there is clear clarification and more structure for the collaboration. It is better for both parties - both strategically and operationally - and it will bring us even closer in an evolving collaboration.
We are a technically competent supplier and sparring partner. Companies can draw on our specialist knowledge, providing added value for the development of new products or useful optimizations in production.
