Smooth and precise cutting in hard plastics
While you've been on summer vacation, we've been upgrading the machinery at Betech. And we're excited to tell you that you can now cut harder, thicker and heavier materials. Our latest machine offers cutting in hard plastics such as acrylic and polycarbonate. In fact, the cutting head is so strong that the machine also cuts materials with metal inserts.

New, powerful cutting machine
So what is it that you've upgraded with, you might ask?
Our new American Colex flatbed cutter is equipped with a Heavy Duty cutting head and milling unit. It can cut with both a drawknife and an oscillating knife, which means it cuts both beautiful straight cuts and more detailed cuts with great precision. Combined with a relatively high bridge height, this enables processing of sheets up to 60 mm thick, depending on the nature of the material. Cutting hard plastics, for example, is easier than ever.

The Colex machine's combination of knife and cutter opens up completely new design possibilities for your product.
This allows you to cut with very precise cuts and beveled details, which is an advantage when you need a more advanced design.
It's also good for both the environment and the working environment at the factory: When we mill instead of cutting holes, the material waste is automatically sucked up as 'shavings' instead of the larger pieces created by cutting, which must be collected manually. This eases the working environment when we mill and it's also easier to dispose of the shavings.
Ready to solve your tasks
On Monday in week 25, the machine arrived at the factory in Bramminge. On Tuesday, the machine was installed in the production hall. On Wednesday, the machine operators had the first training in the use of the muscular cutting machine.
The operators then practiced further and the planning department prepared to integrate the machine into the daily production flow.
