Resists fire, high pressure and acidic media
Thermiculite® is fire resistant and meets the American fire approval API 607. This makes it very suitable for chemical plants or refineries where fire resistant valves are required.
The material can withstand temperatures up to 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 1000 ºC 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and maintains the high heat resistance over time, where classic graphite seals can only withstand up to about 360 degrees and tend to decrease in resistance over time.
